Editorial profile · auto-drafted from Wikidata + parent 10-K + trade press · reviewed 2026-04-20

Klabin is the largest paper producer in Brazil and one of the top ten paper and packaging companies globally by capacity. Founded 1899 in São Paulo as Klabin Irmãos & Cia, the company now operates 17 production units across Brazil and one converter in Argentina, with core output in kraftliner, bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp, and sack kraft.

The flagship Monte Alegre and Puma complexes in Paraná account for roughly two-thirds of total paper output. The Puma II project, commissioned in 2023, added 450,000 tonnes/year of kraftliner capacity on paper machine PM-28 and repositioned Klabin as the largest containerboard supplier in the Southern Cone. The Otacílio Costa and Correia Pinto mills in Santa Catarina specialize in coated board and tissue; the Angatuba converter in São Paulo state handles corrugated box converting.

Klabin is publicly listed on B3 (São Paulo exchange) with 2024 net revenue of approximately R$19.6 billion. The Klabin family, through the Monteiro Aranha holding, retains a controlling stake. FSC certified since 1998 and PEFC since 2011, the company owns and manages about 620,000 hectares of forest plantation and preserves an additional 240,000 hectares of native Atlantic Forest.
